Where to Find Cool Mobile Phone Skins

When you take your brand-new mobile phones out of the box, it looks plain. Everyone who has the same model sees the same thing you see, and even different phones look an awful lot alike these days. Boring.
If you're looking for an interesting way to spruce up your cell phone or smartphone and protect it at the same time, a cell phone skin could be the perfect solution. Unlike silicone or plastic cases, skins are more like stickers (don't worry, they're removable) that don't add any bulk to your phone.

They simply shield your handset's shiny case and screen from scratches, and add some decoration to make it look unique. New York Mets fan? You can put the team's pinstripes and logo on your Android. Crushing on Justin Bieber? Why not slap his mug on your iPhone?

There's a skin for every obsession, hobby, sport, team, band, pet, or interest on the planet. Have a favorite planet? You can find a nice selection of solar system skins too. Some skins are different colors or patterns, feature various themes, or are even made of interesting materials (we found skins that are made to feel like soccer balls and basketballs). Others are simply clear to show off your shiny, sexy mobile device while still offering protection against scratches. Prices and supported models vary, so you'll have to do some searching to find out what's available for your particular phone. Check out the slideshow for ten cell phone skin brands to help get you started.

  1. Since the screen of the iPad is made up of glass, the screen is extremely susceptible to scratch marks. When you use the device directly with your fingers, perhaps you might not notice, but this might cause the screen to be scratched as well.
